about

Passionate. Creative. Focused.

A prolific writer of all forms, Claire is a published journalist, author, and screenwriter.

Her articles have appeared in international film & media magazines SciFiNow and Death Ray, and she has written for a host of websites including SyFy onlineInfinity Plus, and Broad Universe. She has also written on a wide variety of other topics, including architecture, interior design, travel, food, and the international property market.

She enjoyed three years as Features & Production Editor for Matrix Magazine, the British SF Association's media publication, and wrote several articles for Matrix's sister publication Vector.

Her involvement in Britain's SF scene lead to her joining the judging panel for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the UK's most prestigious award for science fiction literature, in 2007 and 2008. SciFiNow interviewed her about her experiences as an Award Judge in their April 2009 issue.

Claire's short story, "The Tollhouse", was published in 2008 by NewCon Press, in the science fiction anthology Myth-Understandings. "The Tollhouse" received a positive review in TTA Press's The Fix, and she later adapted the story into a short film script.

Claire relocated to Los Angeles in 2008, bringing her dark tone and edgy British wit to the US film and television industry. Since then, Claire's original TV pilot, "Virus", placed in the top three finalists of the Exposurama Screenplay Contest 2009, and her short film script, "House of Solomon", was produced in October/November 2010.

As of mid-2013, she has two TV projects in development, recently completed a found footage screenplay, and is currently writing a scifi/horror feature film.

In her spare time, she enjoys designing fictional maps and collecting ads inspired by the "Got Milk?" campaign.
